Sony TPS-L2 Walkman – Gen 2, Refurbished, Excellent Condition

The unit for sale is a collectable Sony TPS-L2 Gen 2 Walkman in excellent cosmetic condition and excellent function condition (see TPS-L2 grading).

The serial number of this unit is 386978.

In 1979, Sony changed how humans listen to music with their innovative Walkman series. For the first time ever, music was truly portable. The company's timeless designs are as iconic today as they were upon their release, and this second-generation TPS-L2 is no exception.

Notice the large SONY logo and the WALKMAN name on the cassette door. The earliest TPS-L2s were labeled only "Stereo," because Sony hadn't settled on a name for its portable player yet.
